Oblong
The wheel
struggles to stay round
as the spokes
decay and pop
over time;
leaving no tendons
to keep the mind
from collapsing
and becoming oblong.

ReplyDeleteI fear that my own spokes are decaying and popping!
ReplyDeleteNo kidding.
DeleteSomehow, this made me think of a hamster in his wheel, endlessly going round and round! Oh (sigh) I hope I still have all my spokes!
ReplyDeleteO! Here's a wheel falling apart for lack of use. Why does it make me think of Puff the Magic Dragon?
ReplyDeleteOh wow, my brain feels exactly like that! And not in a good way. LOL.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiring write.. and love the image also
ReplyDeleteNice observation
ReplyDeleteNice one, Rob. Think I'm missing a few spokes.
ReplyDeleteDecaying spokes; a vivid image!
